Crafting to Help Charities

Hi All my crafty friends,

Thank you for joining me,I know it has been a while since I last blogged, but I am really going to try and make sure I blog on a regular basis.

Well enough about me........
How are you all doing?

What have you been up to craft wise lately?
Dare I say that Christmas is not too far away.
I am trying to get more organised this year ,and have started making my Christmas cards, decorations, wreaths ,bows etc.

This weekend I have been making some supplies for the Laurel Animal Sanctuary in Newton-Le-Willows in the North West of the UK.
They are a non profit Animal Sanctuary ,and they are having a local Christmas Stall to raise funds.I am trying to get as many crafty gifts made up along with my friends from my local Crafty friends group.

I just knew all those crafty bits and pieces that I have been hoarding for many months would be needed for something....

Of course I needed some extra crafty bits so had to order a couple of extra supplies.Well there is no better way to say to your partner that you need extra crafty stash.(wink, wink hubby)

I ordered my bits and pieces card stock, dies ,trims, stamps paper pads, glitters from here.

I would love to see what you make ,either Christmas, or any other occassion,as crafting is for sharing, and that is what I love so much about the crafting community.

If you have any questions, about crafting or the supplies I have used please feel free to contact me.

Speak soon my crafty friends.
Take Care.
xx

Maria Simms From Clarity design Team Joined Us Today

                      A fabulous Crafty Session

Well, such a brilliant craft demonstration took place at the Crafty Friends meetup in Lowton Yesterday.
We where so lucky that the very talented Maria Simms from the Clarity stamps design team  came along to demonstrate for us, and finished off with a little make and take.

The session was absolutely fantastic with lots of hints ,tips and ideas on how to use Clarity's new Groovi board for parchment projects.
I have lots of ideas so when I get chance I will have a little play and hopefully produce some parchment pieces.Stamping goes perfectly with parchment craft so I hope to try out some ideas,so watch this space.

A lot of the ladies in the group bought the Groovi board starter pack,so hopefully once they start and finish their projects I will put them all up for you to have a look at.

I don't know about you, but I love watching love crafty demonstrations, and I learnt so much yesterday in such a small space of time.

A couple of photies for you,not my best photographs, but I am sure you can see the lovely Maria in full flow while at the group.

If you fancy joining us please have a look at the details on the side bar. Of course you can always email me and I will always try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Well take care my crafty friends, and I promise to keep this blog updated, hopefully at least once a week.
Happy Crafty Days to you all.xxx

Crafty Friends Is Still alive and Kicking.........

          Crafty Friends Still Going Strong

So sorry for not posting on a regular basis, but hopefully I will try and update this blog more often.
I have great intentions to make sure it is updated, and then something happens and it slips my mind.
It was one of my friends who had subscribed to my newsletter who said, "what has happened to your blog".
Well I hung my head in shame and promised to try and get it back on track.

So here goes.......... we are back on track...

Well Crafty friends has been going for just over 2 1/2 years now, and I cannot believe how quick time has flown. We still meet up in Church Lane ,community centre Lowton Warrington ,UK every Wednesday apart from the first Wednesday in the month.

THE GROUP IS AMAZING As we have such a talented and diverse bunch of ladies who come along .
They bring along their crochet, knitting, cross stitch, rag rugging ,Papercrafts, card making,Wet and dry felting,Home decorations to work on.
For those who like a bit of structure, and like to be shown how to make things there is

"The Paper Corner" where you make cards and papercraft items. There is an extra charge to this as this is totally separate from the group, but many people like this extra option and they pop in and out of the sessions as and when it suites them.

If you would like to come along to any of these sessions please just email me and you will be given all the up to date information etc. These sessions are becoming quite full so please enquire before you come along ,to make sure we have space.
Email:jackeanne@yahoo.co.uk

Below are a couple of pictures to show you what the group has been up.
